Unicyclist Wesley Williams, who has appeared on several Got Talent shows around the world, recently announced his comeback. Williams suffered a scary accident last October while competing on Spain’s Got Talent and had to be hospitalized.
Wesley Williams Announces Comeback on Spain’s Got Talent
“Comeback TIME!” Williams wrote on a recent post in which he can be seen standing behind the judges’ table on the Spain’s Got Talent set. “Super thrilled to announce I will be performing in Madrid, Spain this winter LIVE on the @gottalenttv SEMI-FINALS!”
Williams was competing in the same stage of the competition on Spain’s Got Talent last year when he fell 27 feet to the ground. According to a video Williams posted on Instagram, this was “due to a mechanical malfunction on the unicycle.”
Williams said in December that his injuries would put him out of work for at least six months. At the time, he was walking in two orthopedic boots with the help of a walker, “far ahead of any doctor prognosis.” He shared in March that he also broke his back in the accident and was almost paralyzed.
Also in March, Williams shared that he was back to riding high up on his unicycle again. In April, he was back to performing on stage. He also announced that in January he’ll be performing at the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, which he called a dream come true.

Williams Earned the Golden Buzzer for His Audition
In 2020, Williams competed on both America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent with his unicycle act. Then last year, he added three more Got Talent franchises to his résumé, performing on Spain’s Got Talent, France’s Got Talent, and Germany’s Got Talent.
Williams wowed the Spain’s Got Talent judges by jumping rope while on his unicycle. He even rode the unicycle high above the stage while blindfolded. He ended up earning the Golden Buzzer for the audition and making it to the Semifinals, when his accident occurred.
Around the same time, Williams made the Semifinals of both France’s Got Talent and Germany’s Got Talent. Unfortunately, he had to withdraw from both competitions due to his accident. It’s nice to know that he’ll at least have another chance at the grand prize on Spain’s Got Talent.
