“People were looking at him like, ‘Why are you still supporting this woman’, and I think he was under a lot of pressure,” Hall told Page Six about Boss’s choice to stand by DeGeneres in the midst of scandal surrounding her talk show.
In 2020, several of DeGeneres’ former employees claimed they experienced a toxic work environment on the set of her show. Before the show ended last year, Boss had appeared as an in-house DJ and was made a co-executive producer in 2020.
“I don’t know what was going on in his life that may [have led] him to make that decision but I do understand,” Hall said. “Right now when I get online some days like right now, if I was in the wrong position of where this abuse would keep happening for years and years and years, there’s only so much a human being can take.”
Hall described Boss as “somebody who always supported me,” calling him “kind and down to earth.”

Hall’s Comments Cause Backlash
According to TMZ, a source close to Boss is unhappy with Hall’s comments about the late star’s death. They apparently believe it’s “extremely negligent and self-serving of Todrick to assume he knows what led to tWitch’s death.”
Sources apparently told TMZ that Boss loved his time working on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The outlet pointed out that Boss reportedly left a suicide note that alluded to the star’s “past challenges” without getting specific.
Twitter users have slammed Hall for his comments about Boss, with one calling him “a garbage dumpster of a human being.” Another wrote that he was “way out of line” and “just wants attention as always.”
