‘The Voice’ Top 8 Performer Sasha Allen Teases New Music

Sasha Allen the voice

Sasha Allen has continued to stay active on social media after facing elimination with his dad in the Top 8 of The Voice. He has been sharing tweets in relation to the series and his career since leaving the show, but has also posted snippets of new, original music.

Sasha has kept his fans wondering when he would finally release a new tune after the series. Even though he hasn’t posted music to soundcloud, he’s shared two snippets to Twitter. On Dec 20 Sasha shared both “Untitled” and “Grandma.” You’re going to want to hear these.

These snippets showed a whole other side to the artist we saw on The Voice. Sasha performed with his dad, Jim Allen throughout his time on the series. The duo are huge fans of music in general and loved to sing old hits on the series itself. They were never given the opportunity to share an original song on the stage.

Both of these songs are acoustically recorded, with a focus on Sasha’s voice. The lyrics to both songs are meaningful and beautifully written. Both songs have gained traction from his fans on the social media site. “Untitled” has received 10,600 views, while “Grandma” has received 4,100 views.

On top of sharing these snippets, Sasha has been asking his fans about what they want to hear. I seriously think it’s a matter of days until he releases his first song after The Voice. I will definitely be adding these songs to my playlist someday.

Jim and Sasha Allen’s Time on The Voice

Jim and Sasha took to The Voice singing “Leaving on a Jet Plane” by John Denver and definitely didn’t disappoint during the show. This duo was the last team standing for the newest coach, Ariana Grande. America loved them throughout the series. They played other hits like “Mrs. Robinson” by Simon and Garfunkel, “Hey Jude” by The Beatles, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and others.

In the Top 11, they were put into the instant save category against Gymani from Team Kelly. Jim and Sasha sang “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz and were able to stay in the competition. They made it into the Top 8 until facing final elimination.
