The Voice returned to NBC tonight with their second results show of the season. This episode showed off the season’s Top 9, which dwindled down to the Top 5 by the end of the episode. Here’s everything you missed in the results episode.

John Legend, Niall Horan Slay Intimate Performance

This night once again began with a coach taking the stage. This time around, Niall Horan took the stage singing his tune “The Show.” In a surprise twist, Horan was joined on stage with John Legend. As someone who already swoons over Horan’s songs, this was such a way to level up his already good song.

After announcing some of the artists going through, Legend took the stage again, singing a holiday tune. In his performance of “What Christmas Means to Me” the coach put on a pretty festive performance. His performance was completely different from Horan’s, since he pulled out all the stops, a full band and dancers.

The Voice Season 24 Secures Their Top 5

During separate portions of the show, the Top 5 was announced. The first artist remaining in the competition is Lila Forde. After a commercial break, the show’s host, Carson Daly, announced the next artists going through Huntley and Ruby Leigh. Following Legend’s performance, Daly announced the final artist going through Mara Justine.

The artists performing in the Instant Save are Mac Royals, Jordan Rainer, Jacquie Roar, BIAS, and Nini Iris.

The Instant Save began with Nini Iris song, “Mad World” by Tears for Fears. Although Nini’s rendition was a bit quick, probably from the amount of time she had to perform in this round, she still managed to impress with her rich voice. BIAS battled next with Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High on That Mountain.” In this performance, BIAS dialed it all back, focusing on his ability to hit the notes above all.

Following a commercial break, Team Reba member Jacquie Roar took the stage, singing “Alone” by HEART. Following Jacquie came Jordan Rainer singing “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice. Last but not least, Mac Royals, the final Instant Save performer, came to the stage singing “I Wanna Know” by Joe.

After fan voting, Daly announced the winner of the Instant Save artist. The final artist in the Top 5 of The Voice Season 24 is Jacquie Roar.
