‘The Voice’ Recap: Blind Auditions 3 Features Multiple Four-Chair Turns, a Coach Replay

Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Voice is back for another week of impressive Blind Auditions! Although Monday was President’s Day, The Voice decided to premiere their next episode. There were incredible four chair turns and even a coach replay, here’s everything you missed.
There Were Two Four-Chair Turn Auditions
The first four-chair turn audition was none other than Los Angeles based singer Conor James. He came to the stage singing a dynamic rendition of “I Say a Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin. He turned all of the coaches’ chairs.
While talking to the coaches, Legend mentioned that he and Conor have a lot in common, playing piano, loving broadway music, and more. In contrast, Levine compared Conor to some of his winning artists from prior seasons. Ultimately, Conor decided to join Team Adam.
The second four-chair turn of the night was actually the final singer of the episode. NCAA champion BDii, came to the stage singing Miguel’s “Adorn.” At this point in the competition, Ballerini is the only coach with a block remaining.
BDii turned the chairs of all the coaches, earning the coveted four-chair turn honor. Ballerini decided to hit her block button, preventing Levine from earning this artist on his team. BDii decided to join Team Legend.
Teams Are Really Filling Up Now
It’s no secret that newcomer coaches typically fill their teams before returning coaches. That being said, Kelsea Ballerini was seen hitting her red button a bunch this episode. Her picks often overlapped with Michael Bublé.
Artists that joined Team Kelsea this episode were Page Mackenzie, who took The Voice stage singing Pistol Annies’ “Hell On Heels” and Filipino singer Jessica Manalo who took the stage singing Sam Smith’s “Unholy.”
Beside Team Kelsea, Team Bublé is also filling up. Artists that joined Team Bublé in Blind Auditions 3 were Divighn who sang “I Got You (I Feel Good)” by James Brown and Barry Jean Fontenot who sang The Temptations’ “I Wish It Would Rain.”
Finally, two other singers joined Teams this episode. Jacquelyn George, who took the stage singing Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” joined Team Legend. While Washington native Tyler Kae sang Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and joined Team Adam.
Adam Levine Uses His Coach Save
Another amazing moment of the night was when Maroon Five singer Adam Levine decided to use his Coach Replay button. Levine decided to hit his coach replay button for 50 year old church singer Tinika Wyatt.
Tinika took the stage with a beautiful rendition of Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry.” Unfortunately, she didn’t turn any chairs. When discussing the no-chair turn audition, she mentioned that she attended an open call for the show 10 years prior. She then sang her song, which happened to be dedicated to Levine. He decided to give her a second chance, hitting his replay button.
Other artists who appeared on the episode, but earned no chair turns were New Jersey native Jonny Rey and Moldova born singer Afina Madoian.
