‘The Voice Nigeria’s Esther Benyeogo Will Give You Goosebumps With Latest Performance

With eight contestants left in The Voice Nigeria, Esther Benyeogo has been making waves in the music community. Benyeogo’s Instagram page is literally on fire after her performance of “Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman.
Benyeogo is a “Worship Leader/Songwriter [who is] SIMPLY DEVOTED TO JESUS” according to her Instagram bio. Her recent video on Instagram has 113,800 plays and 1,708 comments. This Christian singer performed “Never Enough” effortlessly.
Benyeogo Won a Singing Competition at 19
Before her run on The Voice Nigeria, Esther competed in GOD’s Children Great Talent Season 7. The show is described as “GOD’s Children Great Talent (GCGT) is an initiative of the City of David focused on identifying and celebrating talents in young Christians” on their Facebook page.
The show is marketed as a competition to show off dancers, singers and comedians, all competing for the grand prize. “3 cities, over 5000 participants, 1 winner! Who will it be?” said GCGT on their Facebook page.
In Esther’s background story interview, she mentioned how she sang when she was small, but “not as good.” Little did she know that in about four years her voice would get her a three chair turn, and a spot on Team Darey, on The Voice Nigeria.
Esther competed and won Africa’s biggest gospel talent show at only 19-years-old. Even in her time at GCGT her singing was effortlessly beautiful.
Three years after she won GCGT, she released her first EP named “Carry Me.” This EP came out in 2020 and contains five songs. The EP is within the Christian genre on Apple Music.
Esther’s Devotion to The Holy Spirit
“My lovelies, life will be much more easier and meaningful when we allow the Holy Spirit lead” said Benyeogo on Instagram. “God’s Grace is sufficient for us all, too sufficient!”
In all of her Instagram posts she mentions how Jesus Christ has positively influenced her life. Even in her post of “Never Enough” from the live shows, she wrote “Nothing will ever be enough without Jesus Christ in your life.”
Faith is a huge part of Esther’s life and she embraces that, even on The Voice Nigeria. During her meet the talents segment on the show, she mentioned the Holy Spirit as the best gift ever received.
We’re hoping to see more from this Christian singer, even if she doesn’t win the competition. With 31,800 followers on Instagram, and the way her video blew up, Esther will be a star.
