‘The Voice’ Finale: Who Is the Winner of Season 20?
Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Voice Season 20 came to a close on Tuesday night, as the winner was declared during a star-studded finale. Viewers voted for their favorite artists overnight, and host Carson Daly announced the results.
The finale featured performances from the Top 5 artists with their coaches, as well as appearances from celebrity guests such as Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, and Kelsea Ballerini. Former coaches Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine also returned.
Who Is the Winner of ‘The Voice’ Season 20?
At the end of the night, Daly announced the ranking of the Top 5 artists, based on Monday night’s audience vote. The placement for the runners-up was as follows:
Fifth Place: Victor Solomon
Fourth Place: Rachel Mac
Third Place: Jordan Matthew Young
Second Place: Kenzie Wheeler
That means that the winner of Season 20 of The Voice is … Cam Anthony! The 19-year-old singer was on Team Blake since the Blind Auditions. This marks Shelton’s eighth win as a coach, and his first since Season 18, with Todd Tilghman.
Cam delivered an incredible pair of performances on Monday night, showing off what a talented performer he is. Shelton has predicted that he’ll be a “superstar.”
During the finale, Cam teamed up with his coach to perform “She Drives Me Crazy” by the Fine Young Cannibals. Although Cam didn’t know the song well, he said his grandmother loved it. Cam’s win proves that coaches and artists of different genres can work together to earn a win.
Adam Levine Reunites with His Bestie Blake Shelton
Tuesday’s finale also marked the return of former coach Adam Levine, who performed the song “Beautiful Mistakes” with his band Maroon 5. Before the show started, Levine reunited with his friend and fellow coach Blake Shelton. Their banter was a highlight among fans before Levine’s departure.
In a funny sketch, Shelton relentlessly texts Levine as they head into the studio for the show. When Levine shows up, Shelton snaps a selfie of the two of them, prompting Levine to sarcastically say, “I’m so glad to be back.”
Of course, the reunion wouldn’t be complete without Shelton making a dig at Levine’s fashion choices. His tells his friend, “I’m texting you that you’re wearing two shirts right now.” Surprisingly, he didn’t mention Levine’s pink hair.

Gwen Stefani Returns to ‘The Voice’
Former coach Gwen Stefani took the stage to open Tuesday night’s show, singing her new track “Slow Clap” with rapper Saweetie. Stefani wore a black and white plaid outfit that matched the graphic patterns on the stage. She also showed off a new two-toned hairstyle.
Part of the way through the performance, Stefani changed into a red leather outfit, while Saweetie wore a sparkly blue number. Stefani’s fiancé Shelton applauded the performance and looked on proudly. Since she won the show last season with artist Carter Rubin, it was appropriate to have her open the finale.

What to Expect from Season 21 of ‘The Voice’
The Voice will be back later this year for Season 21, as the show continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Coach Nick Jonas will be taking the season off. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend will all return to their spinning chairs. They’ll be joined by a new coach, Ariana Grande.
We can’t wait to see what Grande will bring to the coaching panel. A premiere date hasn’t been revealed for the next season, but we expect it to start some time in September or October. In the meantime, follow Season 20 winner Cam Anthony on Instagram to keep up with his career.
