The Voice is officially returning for Season 30 on NBC, with Adam Levine set to return as a coach. The news made some X (formerly Twitter) users wonder if the show has ever produced a star in its many seasons on the air.

Has The Voice Ever Produced a Star?

In response to news that The Voice will be returning to NBC in the fall, X users @GamerVev marveled at how many seasons have been produced in a relatively short amount of time, as the show only debuted in 2011. The user went on to wonder if the show has “ever even produced a star.”

Fans in the comments shared some examples of The Voice contestants who have gone on to find success. That includes the late Christina Grimmie, as well as Morgan Wallen and Melanie Martinez — although both have been at the center of controversy over the years.

Another user named Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery, both of whom won the show. Several fans argued that the show is more about the celebrity coaches than it is about the artists, with one user writing, “The contestants are a formality.”

Who Is the Show’s Biggest Winner?

While some of the biggest names to come out of The Voice have been non-winners, there have been some champions who have found success after the show. For example, Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery both have impressive social media followings.

Jordan Smith is also in the running for the title of biggest The Voice winner. After winning Season 9 of the show, Smith became the first artist to hold the top two spots on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart simultaneously. His debut album, Something Beautiful, reached No. 1 on iTunes, and he went on to write the song “Ashes,” which was sung by Celine Dion for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack.

Who do you think is the most successful artist to come out of The Voice? Do you agree that the show is more about the coaches than the contestants? Let us know in the comments below.
