‘The Voice Australia’s Season 11 First Look Will Melt Your Heart
Rita Ora, Keith Urban, Guy Sebastian, and Jessica Mauboy are all back for The Voice Australia Season 11. The upcoming season will premiere on April 18 and the competition is as fierce as ever. Fans got a first look of the show’s first contestant Thando Sikwila, and the singer already has set the bar high.
After rumblings that the singing competition would not come back for another season, The Voice Australia fans can rejoice. The four judges are ready to pick from an array of singers who are all hoping to become the next champion.
In a first look fans will see that the show promises to be an emotional ride. Thando is a new “mum” and she is following her dreams by any means necessary. The singer belts out Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman,” and receives a standing ovation from the judges.
“You chose that song because you live it and you are balancing it all out,” Urban tells Thando as she holds her young daughter in her hand.
The clip proves that singing competitions have yet to lose the factor that makes them bring in millions of viewers, the heartwarming stories. The Voice Australia Season 11 returns to its original format after last year’s Generations spinoff.
‘The Voice Australia ‘ Returns April 18
The competition returns to channel 7 with over 60 contestants ready to impress the show’s superstar coaches. The champion will take home the $100,000 grand prize and win a Universal Music Group record deal.
Last year’s champion Bella Taylor Smith is releasing her first EP Look Me in the Eyes the same week that The Voice Australia Season 11 premieres. Team Guy is hoping lightning strikes twice in the current season. Ora is looking to prove that her Generations win can happen on the original format show as well.
Season 10 of The Voice Australia saw its ratings top the previous two years with over 2 million viewers. There is no word if a new host will join the hit show.
