The newest season of The Masked Singer is right around the corner. With a September 25 premiere, the show is beginning to release all the information regarded to their theme nights.
The Masked Singer Announces This Seasons’ Themes
This season of The Masked Singer will have a few special theme nights this season. Among these themes are Barbie, Footloose, and Miley Cyrus nights.
Fox has revealed that The Masked Singer will pay homage to the Mattel doll’s 65th anniversary. The show will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of 1984’s Footloose, starring Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer.
In addition, the series is celebrating Miley Cyrus‘s new Disney Legend award. The night will be dedicated to the star, featuring her music catalog.
Finally, fans should expect to see the return of “Soundtrack of My Life” and “Thanksgiving Night.” Other new themes include “Sports Night,” “’60’s Night,” and “first-of-a-kind” “Who Are You Fest.” The all new “Who Are You Fest” features music from memorable festival lineups. As always, these themes will be woven throughout the performers’ song selections, costumes celebrity guests, and more.
The Show Returns September 25
The Masked Singer is returning to FOX on September 25 at 8 p.m. ET. Once again, fans will be able to gather clues and determine who the celebrities under the mask are.
According to Deadline, “every masked singer will be endorsed by Masked Ambassadors, former contestants of the competition series.” These contestants include Dick Van Dyke, Jewel, Ne-Yo, and DeMarcus Ware.
Nick Cannon returns to The Masked Singer as the show’s host. Longtime panelists Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg are returning to the panel this season. Rita Ora will once again take Nicole Scherzinger’s place on the panel this season.
