‘The Masked Singer’ Recap: Snowstorm Dethrones Bride on Comedy Night
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Masked Singer Season 8 returned on Wednesday for Comedy Roast Night, as Bride defended the title of Queen against new contestants Snowstorm and Avocado. By the end of the night, Bride and Avocado had been unmasked as Chris Jericho and Adam Carolla, as Snowstorm moved on to next week’s show.
Snowstorm Dethrones Bride on ‘The Masked Singer’
After emerging victorious during last week’s show, Bride returned to the stage to perform “White Wedding” by Billy Idol. Jenny McCarthy told him that he “kicked butt” with the rock ‘n’ roll performance.
However, when it came time to announce which contestant earned the least number of votes from the audience, the panelists were shocked to learn it was Bride. The panel guessed that everyone from Matthew McConaughey to Vin Diesel was under the mask, but it turned out to be wrestling star Chris Jericho.
He was dethroned by newcomer Snowstorm, who delivered a sassy performance of “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande. Nicole Scherzinger told her that she had “one of the coolest tones.” She also showed off a little humor, joking to host Nick Cannon that she didn’t want to get pregnant by standing too close to him.
Guesses about Snowstorm’s identity included Kathryn Han, Iliza Schlesinger, and Whitney Cummings. She’ll return next week to go up against two new contestants in the hope of making it to the Season 8 Semifinals.

Avocado Is Unmasked as Comedian Adam Carolla
Appropriately for Comedy Roast Night, comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla turned out to be under the Avocado mask. But first, he had to perform “Hit the Road, Jack” for the Masked Singer audience.
The panel was clearly shocked when they learned that Avocado had been put in the Battle Royale against Snowstorm, with Bride being eliminated. Even guest star Drew Carey (aka Llama), who appeared to oversee the battle, said he thought Avocado would be voted off first.
Nevertheless, Avocado went up against Snowstorm with a performance of “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon. It wasn’t enough to earn the panel’s vote, so he was eliminated and unmasked. Wrong guesses from the panel included Joe Rogan, Tim Allen, and Marc Maron.
Will Snowstorm join Harp and the Lambs in the Semifinals, or will a new challenger steal her crown next week? We’ll have to wait and see.
