The Masked Singer is gearing up to return for Season 14 on Wednesday night. To prepare for the premiere, the show’s panelists (along with host Nick Cannon) were recently asked to share their favorite contestants from past seasons of the show.

The Masked Singer Panelists Choose Favorite Stars

In a recent interview with Parade, the show’s host and panelists were asked to name some of their favorite celebrity contestants from past seasons. The most popular choice was Wayne Brady, who won Season 2 of the show as Fox.

“Wayne killed it—it’s between Wayne Brady and Lil Wayne,” said host Nick Cannon, referring to the rapper inside the Robot costume in Season 3. Panelists Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong agreed with the host about Brady.

“Wayne Brady was pretty amazing. He won. He really—for the first time—rapped, sang, and did dance choreography. He blew our minds in the finale,” said Thicke. Jeong, meanwhile, wasted no time giving an explanation for his pick, saying simply, “Wayne Brady. OK, next [question].”

Thicke also made sure to mention T-Pain, who won the very first season of the show as Monster. He shocked the judges and fans by singing with his natural voice, sans Auto-Tune.

Who Else Did the Panelists Name?

The show’s newest panelist, Rita Ora, named Sisqó as one of her favorite contestants. The singer competed on Season 11 of the show as Lizard. As Ora said of his unmasking, “I started singing all his songs back to him.”

Ora also mentioned Method Man as a favorite. He competed as Stud Muffin in Season 13. Ora said he “was always my crush in real life.” Cannon pointed out how special it was to have him compete, since “hip-hop artists take themselves really seriously.”

As for panelist Jenny McCarthy, she said she would want LeAnn Rimes to come back to the show. Rimes won Season 4 of the show as Sun. McCarthy explained, “Her voice is literally from heaven. I’ve never heard a more angelic, perfect voice than LeAnn Rimes.”

The Masked Singer will return for Season 14 on FOX this Wednesday, January 7, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
