Season 6 of The Masked Singer may be over, but there’s still something tolook forward to on New Year’s Day, whenthe show debuts its first-ever float in the 2022 Tournament of Roses Parade. Former contestant Dionne Warwick will perform on the float, which features recreations of the show’s costumes.
‘The Masked Singer’ to Debut Tournament of Roses Parade Float
The Tournament of Roses Parade will take place on Saturday, January 1, 2022. The event features elaborate floats covered in flowers, and this year’s parade will include a float themed to The Masked Singer. According to a press release, the float will be decorated with “larger-than-life renditions of its iconic and fan-favorite costumes.”
Monster, the show’s first winner who was unmasked as T-Pain, will be at the front of the float. He’ll be joined by recreations of Flamingo (who was unmasked as Adrienne Bailon-Houghton) and Hamster (who was unmasked as Rob Schneider).
Other characters featured include Robot (Lil Wayne), Banana (Bret Michaels), Frog (Bow Wow), Flower (Patti Labelle), Leopard (Seal), and Crocodile (Nick Carter). The Men in Black will also appear, along with some actual costumes from the show, such as Mouse (Dionne Warwick), the Russian Dolls (Hanson), Sun (Leann Rimes), and Chameleon (Wiz Khalifa).
In addition to showcasing the series’ amazing costumes, the Masked Singer float will also feature a former contestant on the show. Dionne Warwick, who competed as Mouse in Season 3 of the show, will perform on the float with her son Damon Elliott.
It sounds like Warwick will be performing as her unmasked self, rather than in her Mouse costume. The parade will take place in Pasadena, California, ahead of the 2022 Rose Bowl football game, in which the Utah Utes will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
For more information on how to watch the parade, see the event’s website and check your local listings.
