The show’s Twitter account posted on Wednesday that they won the award, adding that they’re “excited to be recognized alongside the other incredible winners.” The Gracies are given out each year by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation.
An awards ceremony for the 47th Annual Gracie Awards is set to take place May 24 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Other honorees this year include Melissa McCarthy, Elle Fanning, and Tamron Hall. The event recognizes women’s contributions to television, radio, and digital media.
“Throughout this past year we have seen a number of remarkable projects by and about inspirational women,” Becky Brooks, AWMF president, said in a press release. “We are honored to shine a spotlight on these women, whose stories have driven cultural awareness, offered entertainment that has made us laugh, cry, and everything in between.”
