The Best New Holiday Songs We’ll Have on Repeat this Year

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The holiday season is once again upon us. Everyone loves some good holiday music, but these celebrities have shown their love in another way… by creating brand new tunes for the upcoming season. Sit back, relax, and enjoy these joyful songs.

5. Carrie Underwood “Stretchy Pants”

This hilarious song is all about wearing a pair of stretchy pants to your family meal. In the song, Underwood tells the holiday tale of your stomach growling before eating, followed by immediately passing out after stuffing your face. I think this tune is a lot of fun, but definitely not a serious holiday tune. I imagine people playing this tune as their holiday dinner guests arrive.

4. Heidi Klum “Wonderland”

Speaking of playful Holiday tunes, Heidi Klum dropped a fun song of her own this year. This originally was recorded a few years ago, but is now available for streaming. This song didn’t receive great reviews on YouTube, but I think it’s a lot of fun. This song feels like it’s directly out of a Barbie movie. It’s not a song that wants to be taken seriously, and I think that’s the mistake people are making.

3. Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me”

If you’ve followed Ariana Grande for a while, you’ll know that Christmas music is some of her favorite to release. In her career she has released two EPs and one single in spirit of the holiday. Since she hasn’t released any of these tunes in 2021, we’re counting this superstar duet as its own.

This song truly proves that Kelly Clarkson can harmonize with anyone. She’s able to hold up with Grande’s high register throughout the tune. This song makes me want to get up and dance. Not to mention, the rest of Clarkson’s ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ will be on repeat all month.

2. Meghan Trainor “Christmas Coupon”

This song sounds like it is from Meghan Trainor‘s debut album Title in the best way possible. This song has an irresistible amount of good vibes. The song begins with harmonization, and quickly switches styles. If you liked “All About That Bass” you will love this Christmas tune. I admit I added this one to my playlist really quick.

1. Kelly Clarkson “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)”

]Clarkson was on a roll with her Christmas tunes this year. As many know she recently released a new album When Christmas Comes Around… and she wasn’t afraid to shade her ex husband throughout it. Even though there are plenty of great songs on this album I had to choose the one that started the revolution, “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You).”

There is truly some bops on this album, but this is my favorite. I will be playing this song on repeat this Christmas season. This queen deserves every cent from streaming after what she’s been through. This song demolishes the idea that Christmas is only a happy holiday.

Honorable Mention: Maddie Poppe “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”

This tune is a fun honorable mention, this winter Maddie Poppe will embark on her second ever Acoustic Christmas Tour. This winter she will perform in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island, California, Oregon, Montana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, along with the two newest additions, Arizona and Illinois. This concert series begins in late November and will conclude on December 31. Since she hasn’t released any new tunes recently, but we can justify including her version of the Christmas hit for her upcoming Holiday tour.
