America’s Got Talent is shaking things up for Season 14!
As many fans have been speculating since Season 12 and 13 host Tyra Banks announced her departure from the show, AGT: Champions host Terry Crews will be taking over hosting duties full-time in the upcoming season!
Rumors of some shifts in the judge lineup have been circulating since before last season started filming, but now some changes are officially happening. Gabrielle Union and dancer Julianne Hough will be taking their seats at the table for Season 14, and it seems that Mel B and Heidi Klum will be departing from the show after Champions. The debut of Gabrielle and Julianne will mark the first time America’s Got Talent will have judges from America since Howard Stern’s final season in 2015.
Julianne was previously a judge on Dancing With the Stars for a few seasons, where she was known for her constructive criticism and overall positivity when sharing feedback with the contestants. She knew how to communicate her notes effectively while still building up the performers, and hopefully she’ll carry those qualities over to AGT! This will be Gabrielle’s first time judging a reality show, but given her extensive experience in the entertainment industry we’re sure she’ll bring a lot to the panel as well!
We’ve never had a dancer as an AGT judge before, and the last time we had an actor was about a decade ago, so we’re excited to see both of these ladies breathe new life into the show when filming starts in March!
