AGT: The Champions host Terry Crews knows it pays off to be in judge Simon Cowell’s favor. Terry joked about it with Talent Recap on the AGT: Champions red carpet.
Terry Crews talks to Talent Recap about “AGT: Champions.”
The show recently aired the finals episode, and next week we’ll find out who was chosen by the superfans as the Season 2 winner. Check out what Terry had to say in the video below.
Terry Crews Says Simon Cowell Is His Favorite Judge
When asked who his favorite judge on the panel is, Terry immediately answered that it’s Simon Cowell, and gave an innocent smile to the camera. He even flexed his pecs a little bit while explaining his reasons.
“Sometimes, a little bootlicking … it works for you,” Terry said. “Make sure you’re gonna stay working … If you want a job, make sure you compliment the boss, every time.”
It seems to be working, as this is Terry’s second season hosting AGT: The Champions, and he also hosted his first-ever traditional AGT season last year. We won’t be surprised if he returns for Season 15 this summer. Terry himself has said he wants to host the show “forever.”

Who Would Have Gotten Terry’s Golden Buzzer?
This season of Champions, Terry Crews didn’t get to hit the Golden Buzzer. Last season, he hit it for sand artist Kseniya Simonova. So who would he have hit it for this time, if he had the chance?
“What’s wild is they know that I love everybody. And they know it would be too hard,” Terry laughed about not getting his Golden Buzzer moment. He said it’s “too hard” to choose an act he would have sent through to the finals.
Terry said his Golden Buzzer for Kseniya was “from the heart,” and he was “so moved, I had to do it.” He says he felt that way for “several acts” this season. “I was glad I didn’t have a buzzer,” he said, although he admits he might have hit it for a comedian.
