Meet The Ukrainian Artist That Just Made AGT And BGT History
Kseniya competed on the premiere episode of the series telling a story in sand pictures about a girl overcoming cancer. She said she hoped the story encouraged children battling the disease to keep fighting. The performance earned her a standing ovation from the crowd…plus a Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden!
Meet Kseniya Simonova: A Veteran Of Several Got Talent Shows
Amanda said the “whole message” of Kseniya working with childhood cancer patients in real life and creating the story based on their experiences is what moved her to hit the Golden Buzzer. But this wasn’t the first time Kseniya had received a Golden Buzzer. She also earned one from America’s Got Talent: The Champions host Terry Crews.
Kseniya’s sand art blew the AGT: The Champions audience away. It’s such a unique act. Most people have never seen someone make live animation using only sand and light. We kind of think she invented this art form. A lot of people thought she would be eliminated sooner but she earned her spot in the finale for sure.
With these two Golden Buzzers under her belt, Kseniya is the first Got Talent act to earn multiple Golden Buzzers on Champions series. Acrobat troupe Zurcaroh was the first to earn two Got Talent Golden Buzzers of any kind, first on the French version of the show and later on AGT. She also won Ukraine’s Got Talent and placed third on AGT Champions, so she has seen a lot of success within this franchise and is sure to be a major threat on BGT Champions come the finale.
