Rock Band Chapter 13 On ‘BGT’
The boys in the band were all between the ages of 14 and 15. For their audition, they performed a medley of Stevie Wonder songs, including “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and “Superstition.”
The band members played drums and guitar, with the lead singer belting out the songs. The BGT audience and judges gave Chapter 13 a standing ovation when their performance was finished.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen four young musicians so together,” Amanda Holden said, complimenting their ability on the instruments, as well as their stage presence. “Now you’ve just got to win the whole show!”
Amanda proceeded to hit the Golden Buzzer for the band, causing confetti to rain down on the stage. The boys hugged each other in celebration, and Amanda gave them a group hug as they thanked her.
How Far Did Chapter 13 Go In The Competition?
“Honestly, the musicianship that I just saw was outstanding,” Alesha Dixon told the group. “Your skill level is so impressive.” David Walliams called it “flawless,” saying they put an original spin on the songs.
“I can imagine kids watching this show … and thinking, ‘I would love to be in that, ’cause that is more fun than being in school,'” Simon Cowell told them. He compared Chapter 13 to a band called Busted.
The band went straight to the semifinals, where they performed an original song called “We Own This Town.” Unfortunately, they didn’t make it to the final.
