Teaser Trailer Released for ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ Season Three

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Don’t step off the runway just yet! RuPaul’s Drag Race UK just released a teaser trailer for the upcoming series. Paired with the soundtrack of RuPaul’s song “Category Is,” the short video features the hands of the season three queens. With perfect claw-like manicures, I might add. The trailer confirms series three will premiere in Fall 2021.
At the end of Drag Race UK season two, RuPaul confirmed that another season of the British series was on the horizon.
“Currently casting season three with the best and the brightest Great Britain has to offer,” he stated in the season two announcement.
It is rumored that the third season has already been completely filmed. Last season, the queens had just returned from a seven-month long break in filming due to COVID-19. The competition took an unexpected turn when contestant, Veronica Green, tested positive for the virus. This made her unable to compete on the remainder of the show. She was given the invitation to return for the third season, however it has not been confirmed if she will in fact return.
Queens Rumored to Appear on Drag Race UK Season Three
While the season three queens have not yet been announced, there have been a number of speculations regarding the upcoming cast. Anubis Finch, Charity Kase, Choriza May, and Elektra Fence, are some of the rumored contestants. Many of them have notably disappeared from social media during time of the filming. In the frame of mid-February to mid-March 2021.
Will season three top the last? On season two Lawrence Chaney of Glasgow took the crown. Bimini Bon-Boulash and Tayce placed as the runners-up. Chaney’s drag name came from their real name, Lawrence Maidment. “Chaney” was inspired by the 1920s prolific silent movie star, “Lon Chaney”.
“He was known as the man of a thousand faces and I’m known as the queen of a thousand faces, because I’m good at impersonation, stupid voices and general buffoonery,” the season two champion said in an interview.
So who will take the crown this season? While there is still time before the full cast is revealed, it’s fun to consider the possibilities for now. For American viewers, the show will be available on the WOW Presents Plus app for streaming. Be sure to subscribe to get the inside scoop on all things Drag Race related.
