So You Think You Can Dance Winner Alexis Warr Burton in Dancing With the Stars Troupe
Insider Kristyn Burtt recently posted a video on TikTok announcing the four dancers who will be part of the troupe for Season 31. The troupe is made up of professional dancers who aren’t paired with celebrities but perform as backup dancers and fill in for other pros if needed.
One of the names on the list is So You Think You Can Dance Season 17 winner Alexis Warr Burton. The 22-year-old dancer has a history on talent shows, including America’s Got Talent and World of Dance. She also danced on Derek Hough’s tour, as well as the DWTS live tour.
This season’s troupe will also feature Sasha Farber, who competed with Suni Lee last season. He won’t be paired with a celebrity for Season 31. The other male member of the group is Ezra Sosa, who first joined the troupe last season and later joined JoJo Siwa’s tour.
Rounding out the four-dancer troupe is Kateryna Klishyna, a dancer from Ukraine. She previously competed on So You Think You Can Dance in her home country.
Which Dancers Are Returning for Season 31?
The full cast for Season 31 of DWTS has yet to be announced, but we do know six pro dancers who will be returning to the ballroom this season on Disney+. They appeared in promotional material released earlier this month.
Last year’s winner Daniella Karagach will return, along with her husband Pasha Pashkov. They’ll be joined by Cheryl Burke, Brandon Armstrong, Witney Carson, and Artem Chigvintsev.
This season will be co-hosted by returning emcee Tyra Banks and former Mirrorball winner Alfonso Ribeiro. The show premieres Monday, September 19, on Disney+. This season’s cast will reportedly be announced September 8 on Good Morning America.
