Terry Crews announced that Storm Large won the wildcard spot on Season 16 of America’s Got Talent. Storm has officially joined the Quarterfinals and is now the dark horse of the competition. She is about to impress the judges with a jaw-dropping performance in tonight’s live show. Everything is riding on America’s votes to see if she makes it into the Semifinals.
Storm Large Wins the ‘AGT’ Wildcard
After Nightbirde exited the competition due to her ongoing cancer battle, the wildcard competition was held to give one act the opportunity to join the Top 36. The episode streamed exclusively on Peacock. Five acts performed in front of the live audience for the AGT wildcard. Comedian Mike Goodwin, Singer Matt Mauser, Magician Patrick Kun, Teen Singer Dylan Zangwill, and Storm battled for viewers votes.
Fans took to Twitter to vote for which act they wanted to see win the AGT wildcard. Patrick and Storm overwhelmingly got the most votes from fans of the show. Storm’s performance was the one that stood out the most for her tremendous vocal abilities. The right person did end up winning the wildcard spot.
The AGT wildcard has been one of the biggest question marks of the season. For weeks, fans have been speculating about who would be earning the final spot in the Top 36. It’s crazy to think that a couple of these acts did not initially make it into the Top 36. Storm was one of the most talented singers at the auditions. Her spot in the Top 36 should have been guaranteed but we are so happy she finally has her chance in the spotlight.
Regardless of the outcome, AGT has always been a great launch pad for contestants careers. For the four acts that did not make it, they put on a great show. They should be proud to be a part of history as the first bunch to get their own episode on Peacock.
