Reading Time: 2 minutes
Singer Storm Large absolutely stole the show during the third episode of the America’s Got Talent auditions. The rocker previously appeared on the CBS series Rock Star: Supernova and has led several successful rock bands over the years. America’s Got Talent could give her the next level of fame that she has been seeking over the past three decades of her career.
Storm Large Wows on ‘America’s Got Talent’ with Unique Song Choice
Storm performed “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” for her big audition. It was a shocking song choice but it all made sense once she opened her mouth to sing. She added her own rockstar flair to the song and is the true rock artist this show has been seeking for so many seasons. The last line of the song was absolutely chilling and the reaction from the judges was shock and awe.
“That was insane I mean you were like possessed on that stage,” Heidi Klum said after the performance. “I’ve never heard this song this way before. It was incredible.”
Howie Mandel feels like Storm made the song her own to the point where it was hard to even tell it was a cover. This is a huge compliment especially coming from someone who has heard a lot of cover songs as a judge on America’s Got Talent. Mandel agrees that Storm certainly gave it more of a rock and roll edge. Storm made Howie a lover of the jazz song that he otherwise associates with his mother.
“You have an amazing voice, an amazing personality, an amazing energy, just to hear a naturally amazing voice like that I think it was a really really really good audition,” Simon Cowell gushed.
Cowell is the music mogul so impressing him is probably the most important thing for singers coming onto America’s Got Talent. All four judges sent Storm to the next round of the competition. When she walked out of the theater, she looked like she was in disbelief. She is definitely one of the strongest singers advancing in the competition this season.
