Maelyn Jarmon is going to win The Voice tonight. No, we don’t have any insider information nor is the show rigged. There are metrics we use that are really good indicators that someone is going to triumph. One of those is the iTunes streams and Maelyn Jarmon is killing it there.
On The Voice a rule people often forget is that the artist with the highest number of iTunes streams gets their votes multiplied by five. FIVE! just a few hours before the show and Maelyn Jarmon is winning by a mile. On the iTunes Top 100 chart she is #1 for her version of Hallelujah in the Alternative Category. She is also #4 with her song Wait For You on the pop charts and her duet with coach John Legend of Unforgettable is #8 in the pop category. The only other one who comes close is Gyth Rigdon who got to #5 in country with Proof I’ve Always Loved You.
Maelyn Jarmon’s Strength On iTunes
What does this mean? It means that however many votes she gets tonight will be multiplied by five. To start with, I think that Maelyn Jarmon is going to get a crapton of votes any way. Because she’s simply amazing, and as great as the Team Blake guys are, Maelyn is vocally the best singer on the show right now. Sure, the majority of Voice fans are all about country and Blake is their emperor. However, because he has three country guys in the finale there is a real possibility that the vote will be split and Maelyn will come out on top.
So, the combination of the iTunes streams, the diluting of Blake’s team’s votes, and her amazing talent leads us to conclude that Maelyn Jarmon will win The Voice this year. You can’t argue with numbers, friends.
