Sofia Vergara Shuts Down Spanish Interviewer
Vergara appeared on Motos’ show to promote her new Netflix series Griselda, premiering January 25. The interview was in Spanish, but Mitú broke down some of Vergara’s best comebacks to Motos’ rude comments.
At one point, while she was talking about her role on Modern Family, Motos interrupted her to ask, “How do you say ‘Modern Family’?” Vergara responded, “I say it wrong? Oh, because you speak better English than me? Ah.”
Vergara also pointed out what an accomplished actress she is, asking Motos, “How many Emmy nominations do you have in the United States? How many times did they nominate you at the Golden Globes?” (The answer, for Vergara, is four of each.)
At one point, Motos also questioned whether Vergara is a “natural blonde.” That prompted her to ask Motos, who has gray hair, “You were born with your hair that color? Did you dye it?”
