Snoop Dogg is hard at work with yet another collaboration with popular artists. On April 1, this rapper released a single with R&B/soul group The Avila Brothers and country icon Billy Ray Cyrus. Since the release of this single, the men have gotten to work on a music video.
Fans of the individual artists are excited to see this unexpected duo in a music video together. They quickly found out that this collaboration was no April fool’s joke when the song released on April 1. The release of “A Hard Working Man” was accompanied with a behind the scenes video from their music video shoot.
The group dropped an official lyric video on April 4, so fans know the music video is right around the corner. “A Hard Working Man” features lyrics discussing working hard to create a name for yourself. The country tune features Snoop Dogg’s rap with Cyrus’s vocals. The men’s vocals blend together well to create an easy to listen to track. Upon the release of the track, Cyrus expressed the meaning of the song on Instagram.
In his promotional post, he expressed that that this song branches together multiple generations. No matter the listeners generation, background, genre, language or geographical location, this is a song everyone can relate to.
“A Hard Working Man” has brought in over 209,800 streams on Spotify and over 19,000 on YouTube. This track has yet to make it onto the iTunes charts since its release. I was personally surprised to see a track created by names this big not debut on the charts. Right now, Thomas Rhett‘s release of the same date remains on the iTunes charts behind Chris Stapleton.

On the date of the song’s release, the duo shared a behind-the-scenes look at the music video, but didn’t specify its release date.
