Singing duo Dawn & Hawkes, made up of Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes sing as if they are one person, that’s how good they are. The pair auditioned together for the sixth season of The Voice with “I’ve Just Seen a Face” by The Beatles. The performance was literally so good that one coach flew out of his chair and landed on the floor.

Dawn & Hawkes Caused Adam Levine To Fall Out Of His Chair On ‘The Voice’

About 10 seconds into the performance, Adam Levine and Shakira both slammed on their buttons to turn their chairs. Adam flashed a smile as the duo harmonized perfectly during their Blind Audition. It’s no surprise how much they impressed the coaches considering their adorable love for one another was visible right from the start.

After the audition, Adam even said that it was his favorite performance that he has ever seen on the show. He was delighted when Dawn & Hawkes chose him as their coach. Out of sheer happiness, Adam stood up from his chair and sprawled himself out on the floor in front of the stage. He quite literally fell in love with them!

In the first round of The Battles, Dawn & Hawkes sang “Stuck in the Middle with You” against Josh Murley. They moved on to the second round of The Battles where they sang “Suddenly I See” against Kat Perkins. This was such a close call because both artists were totally on point during the performance. Adam said the decision was very difficult but he ultimately chose Kat as the winner of The Battle. Dawn & Hawkes was eliminated from the competition.

Where Are They Now?

After appearing on The Voice, Dawn & Hawkes released an album called Yours and Mine in 2015. They had gone on tour with Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski and Patty Griffin in between finishing the album. According to their website, the album is “a celebration of life’s genuinely beautiful moments that make us want to take another breath and another step – despite uncertainty.”

In 2018, the couple released another album called The Other Side. “While on our own adventures of ups and downs we found ourselves exploring themes of empathizing with the other side,” Miranda said on the website. “We hope that you will hear this album and share it with someone you love because these are anthems of compassion for everyone who’s ever felt on ‘The Other Side.'”

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the couple are eager to get out on the road and play live shows again. “Missing playing holiday shows with our family band and we can not wait for this pandemic to hit the road so we can get on the road again” they wrote on Instagram.
