Simon Cowell Says He’ll Never Forget This Dance Crew’s ‘AGT’ Audition [VIDEO]
One of the most memorable auditions from Season 15 of AGT came from WAFFLE Crew, a dance group from New York City. Simon Cowell was so impressed by their audition, he hit the Golden Buzzer.
WAFFLE stands for We Are Family For Life Entertainment. The group typically performs on the New York subway, but they brought their amazing moves to the Got Talent stage for the 2020 competition.

“We’re from a city where there’s no hope, there’s no influence,” one of the group’s members told Simon Cowell before their performance. “We don’t see the right things when we go back home. But we never gave up on our hopes and dreams.”

They added that they wanted to give young people “something positive” to look up to. They also shared that they would use the million-dollar prize to invest in their community.
For their AGT audition, they delivered an energetic dance routine that included some amazing flips and incredible teamwork. They even worked their shoes and hats into the performance. The audition had the audience on their feet and cheering.
Simon Cowell Hits The Golden Buzzer For WAFFLE Crew
WAFFLE Crew earned a standing ovation from the AGT judges. Simon told them he could see “how important this is to you.” So he said he wanted to give them “a little head start,” and proceeded to hit the Golden Buzzer.

The dancers embraced each other and broke down crying as the confetti rained down around them. Simon stepped onto the stage to give them hugs and told them they were “fantastic,” adding, “That’s an audition I will never, ever forget.”
WAFFLE Crew went straight to the AGT quarterfinals, where they were sent through by America’s vote in the Dunkin’ Save. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it to the finals. However, you can keep up with their dancing on Instagram.
The group recently made their third appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. They honored Breonna Taylor with their sweatshirts, speaking out against police brutality. After their performance, Ellen presented them with a check for $25,000.
