You might think Simon Cowell is Britain’s favorite talent show judge, but think again. During Tuesday’s National Television Awards ceremony, Cowell lost in the Best TV Judge category. To make matters worse for him, he lost out to his Britain’s Got Talent colleague David Walliams — who wasn’t a very humble winner.

As we pointed out, all the nominees in this NTAs category were men. Walliams also beat out The X Factor UK‘s Louis Tomlinson and Robbie Williams, as well as actual legal judge Robert Rinder. The difference is that Tomlinson, Williams, and Rinder weren’t sitting right next to Walliams when they heard the news.

When the winner was announced, the awards broadcast cut to Cowell and Walliams at the BGT judges’ table, with a full audience behind them. Walliams stood triumphantly on the table as Cowell dramatically hit the buzzers to show his outrage.

There was also a moment during Walliams’ celebration that you may not have noticed. As the Mirror points out, when the show cut back to the awards ceremony, Walliams could be seen leaning down to plant a kiss on Cowell. “Turn away if you can,” joked awards host Dermot O’Leary.

Walliams also made sure to share a Twitter photo that really sums up the pair’s wildly different reactions to the results.

As Walliams was quick to point out, this is his third time winning the TV Judge category at the NTAs. In fact, Cowell himself accepted the award on his behalf in 2015. He joked in a backstage interview that he wasn’t going to give it up.

This time, it was Walliams’ turn to be greedy. “I would share this award with my fellow judges, but I’m not going to!” he declared. “It’s mine, mine, mine!”

Better luck next time, Simon.
