Simon Cowell Is Creating A New Music Competition Show In The UK
Anthony Devlin/Getty Images We love The X Factor here at Talent Recap but the reality is that it isn’t doing so well in the ratings. In fact, it’s getting creamed by the dance competition show Strictly Come Dancing. X Factor got 4.3 million viewers as opposed to 10 million for SCD. That’s a third of the UK if you are keeping score. So, Simon is going to use his Svengali talents to create something new.

He’s being cagey about the whole thing saying only,
“Watch this space. We’ve got a new show soon. I can’t say more but it’s still music. You’ll like this one we’re making. You’ll have to wait but you will see more about it soon. We make lots of shows but this is a music show.”
The fact of the matter is that the British press is reporting that after over a decade on the air folks are just plain tired of The X Factor. It doesn’t help that they’ve made complicated rules that the fans are most definitely not feeling. With the exception of Grace Davies and a couple of others, there isn’t really anyone that memorable. I wouldn’t be surprised if The X Factor’s days were limited.
I wonder what this new show will be? I mean, really, what more can you do with the music show format? If anyone can figure it out it’s definitely Simon Cowell.
