Simon Cowell Doubles Down After Making Fun of ‘AGT’ Contestant For Falling on Stage
Simon Cowell was social media’s favorite topic after the live episode of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night. His harsh comments really cut deep after one of the members of Shuffolution fell on stage. Terry Crews could not let the live results show go by before addressing Cowell’s mean attitude.
Simon Cowell Addresses Harsh Comments He Made to Shuffolution on ‘AGT’
At the start of Wednesday night’s AGT results show, Crews asked Cowell why the judges were being so harsh on the contestants the night before. Obviously, Crews was referencing his off-color remarks about Shuffolution and Johnny Showcase in particular. The entertainment mogul claimed that dancer Donivan Harding falling down was the best part of Shuffolution’s entire performance.
Donivan was visibly upset by the remarks. He did handle the fall like a champ though by picking himself up and continuing on with the routine. Cowell just couldn’t appreciate the heart that Donivan showed on stage. Cowell still had no remorse during the AGT live results show. He was essentially unapologetic for his comments and was pretty much speechless in response to Crews’ questions.
“There was some amazing performances and some dreadful performances…” Cowell trailed off.
Cowell earned a ton of boo’s from the audience and viewers at home on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Shuffolution took to their Instagram story to talk about everything that went down on stage. They assumed they would end up in the Instant Save.
“So last night was a bit of a bumpy ride, we got a lot of harsh critiques from the judges, and we’re not so sure about our position,” Donivan said in the video before asking America to vote for Shuffolution.
Unfortunately, Shuffolution was not voted through to the AGT Seminfinals nor did they end up in the Instant Save. They were not one of the top vote-getters of the night. The group looked devastated to be going home. But honestly, they’re already winners with their growing TikTok following that has helped revolutionize shuffling.
