The 43-year-old Belinda David auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent 2020. She performed a song from her idol Whitney Houston and blew the judges away.

David’s act was the final round of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent auditions. Her Whitney Houston tribute act wowed the Britain’s Got Talent judges. She broke down in tears backstage after her stunning performance.
She hails from Cape Town, South Africa and is one of the biggest fan the late singer since she was a small child. She was shaking as she told the judges she was on Britain’s Got Talent to “further my career. It reminds me so much of my boys, the most important thing for me is to make them proud,” Belinda told the judges of her song choice.
David Walliams said: “You created such a massive moment tonight for all of us so thank you.”
Amanda Holden agreed and said that “you have that ability to move us with your voice, it was great.” Alesha Dixon too was amazed and added, “what a way to close an amazing run of auditions with a class act. I want to see the name Belinda Davids in lights, you are amazing.”
Simon Cowell concluded: “This was just a fantastic end to a fantastic tour. I absolutely adore you.” She got a standing ovation from all four judges qualifying her to the live shows.
What Has Belinda Been Doing Since?
Davids has been captivating audiences breathless over the past few years with her stellar performances as Whitney Houston in the popular “The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show”. Belinda beat almost 15,000 other hopefuls to take the marquee role.
In 2017, she won the BBC talent show Even Better Than The Real Thing – which was hosted by Paddy McGuinness. She is a backing vocalist for some of the biggest names in Pop and R&B including Keyshia Cole, Monica, Johnny Gill, Kelly Price, and Keri Hilson.
She made appearances on The Jay Leno Show and The George Lopez Show and mixed in celebrity circles. Last year, Belinda won the International Special Recognition Award at the UK’s National Tribute Music Awards.
