Sharon Osbourne Recalls Suicide Attempt Over Husband Ozzy’s Affair

Sharon Osbourne recently opened up about attempting suicide after learning of her husband Ozzy’s affair. She shared the story during her one-woman show, Sharon Osbourne: Cut the Crap, in London on Sunday.
Sharon Osbourne Recalls Suicide Attempt Over Ozzy’s Affair
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have been married since 1982. In 2016, it was reported that the couple had chosen to split over Ozzy’s four-year affair with a hair stylist. The couple reconciled and renewed their vows in 2017, but Sharon revealed how hard it was to learn about the affair.
“He always, always had groupies and I was so used to that,” she said during her recent London show. “But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work … it is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested. I took, I don’t know how many pills.”
Sharon shared that she thought her children would be able to “take care of themselves” if she passed away, since they were “older.” She recalled overdosing and locking herself in the bedroom, adding, “The maid tried to come in to clean the room and saw me.”
Ozzy later said that he “made a huge mistake,” adding, “Without Sharon, I am nothing. I love her. I can honestly say that I have never loved anybody other than my wife.”

Sharon Recalls Her Wedding Night on Podcast
In a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Sharon and Ozzy recalled their wedding day. Unfortunately, Sharon revealed that she spent the wedding night on her own because Ozzy had been drinking so much.
“You never even came in on the wedding night. The manager called and said, ‘Your husband is laying in the hall. Will you come and get him?’ And I said, ‘No, I won’t,'” Sharon recalled. When Ozzy asked if she spent the night on her own, she replied, “Well, who the f*ck else was I gonna spend it with?”
Sharon added that when Ozzy came in the next morning, he said he had forgotten something and “went back for a second round of drinks.”
