Shakira’s ‘Dancing With Myself’ Begins Filming March 15, Here’s How to Get Tickets

Shakira is teaming up with NBC for a brand new dance competition show, Dancing With Myself. The brand new series is a family-friendly dance competition show. It meshes online viral dance challenge format into a competition.
On the show, a group of dancers will compete weekly in a series of high-energy dance challenges. The dance challenges are designed and demonstrated by the show’s celebrity creators, including Shakira. Contestants are then put into isolation pods. While in pods, they must learn their new routines, as well as add their own flare in a short amount of time.
Once their routine is perfect, they perform their hearts out in front of a live audience. Shakira and her judging panel will provide feedback to the dancers, but ultimately the studio audience chooses the best dancer of the night. The dancer that is honored as the best of the night will take home a cash prize. At this time, there has been no announcement of the other celebrity judges.
Shakira’s New Show Begins Filming in Georgia On March 15
Filming for the upcoming series begins on March 15 and concludes on March 21. Dancing With Myself is filming at the Cinelease Three Ring Studios in Covington, Georgia. Audience members must have full vaccination status against Covid-19 and participate in testing 48 hours prior to their attendance date.
Both the Covid-19 test and audience tickets are free for attendees and available now. The taping of each show lasts approximately five hours from the audience arrival time.

The new series pulls inspiration from the dances that became popular from social media. The worldwide superstar and Grammy Award winner broke the internet with her own viral dance, “Girl Like Me.” This song gained a ton of popularity on TikTok in 2020, there are currently over 228,200 videos made to the viral sound. Shakira’s passion for dance is part of the reason this series came to be.
Shakira is not a stranger to the world of NBC competition shows. She’s previously been on coach on The Voice for both seasons four and six. This singer is a multi-talented entertainer, so I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this series. When announcing the series on TikTok, the Grammy Award winner shared that this series is everything you love about dance challenges, but in a competition format.
