RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 star Sasha Colby added a new member to her drag family, but it’s not one of her fellow contestants. Instead, Sasha shared in a recent interview that she adopted a Drag Race crew member named Justin.
Sasha Colby Says She Adopted a Drag Race Crew Member
Sasha recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly‘s podcast Quick Drag about her growing drag family, which already includes Season 14 contestant Kerri Colby. During Season 15, Sasha adopted an unexpected new drag kid — a crew member.
“I was told by my children…. they’re like, ‘No kids!'” Sasha said of her existing drag kids. “I did have one child, one of the production guys. Justin, he’s the one who always calls the celebrities in Untucked, like, ‘Okay, we have to take them!'”
Fans might know Justin as the person who enters the Werk Room during Drag Race companion show Untucked to tell the guest judges that their time is up with the contestants. During a recent Season 15 episode, Sasha had a moment with him.
“He whispers — he has his mask and headset on, he’s cueing me to go into the Werk Room for one of the scenes, he’s not even looking at me, just staring into yonder — and goes, ‘I want to be a Colby,'” Sasha said. “I go, ‘Justin, are you serious? Justin Colby!'”
Sasha added, “He had one of my little drag jackets on [that] episode, so his name is Justin Colby. I had to! She’s fertile.”

This Isn’t the First Adoption of Season 15
Sasha Colby adopting crew member Justin isn’t the first drag adoption of Season 15. Earlier in the season, Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Malaysia Babydoll Foxx adopted twins Sugar and Spice.
“Getting the opportunity to expand my drag family has been the greatest unexpected blessing to come from my time on Rupaul’s Drag Race,” Isabelle wrote on Instagram. “You all know what drag family means to me, so just know I don’t play when it comes to my daughters.”
The current season of Drag Race airs Friday nights on MTV at 8/7c. The competition is winding down, as April 14 marks the grand finale, when a winner will be revealed.
