‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Courtney Act Joins ‘Dancing With the Stars: All Stars’ Australia
Courtney Act established a huge drag career even before she competed on Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The Australian Idol alum was just named to the roster for Dancing with the Stars: All Stars in Australia. Past winners, finalists, and fan favorites from the franchise will be getting another chance to show off their ballroom skills.
Talent Show Queen Courtney Act Will Be Competing on ‘Dancing With The Stars: All Stars’
Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger will be hosting Dancing With The Stars: All Stars on Channel 7 and 7plus in 2022. Former Australia’s Got Talent hosts Grant Denyer and Ricki-Lee Coulter will also be competing. Courtney is one of the audience favorites heading into the new season.
She made history as the first contestant in the franchise to compete in drag. Fans were absolutely gutted when she came in second place on Season 16 of the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars. Courtney and her partner Joshua Keefe were the top scorers on the leaderboard during almost every week of the competition.
Courtney has pretty much competed on every competition show imaginable, even winning Celebrity Big Brother 21 in the U.K. She has been performing in drag for over 20 years and was known as the singing queen on RuPaul’s Drag Race. She competed for a chance to represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019.
After announcing the Dancing with the Stars news on Instagram, Courtney received supportive comments from her fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants. Manila Luzon, Willam, and Raja commented on the post. Joshua also commented on the post, and it definitely looks like he will be paired with Courtney again this season.
No premiere date for Dancing With The Stars: All Stars has been announced yet. The show is currently casting a virtual audience for superfans of the show. One thing that is certain is that Courtney has huge potential to take home the Mirrorball Trophy this time around.
