Reading Time: 2 minutes
RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 is heating up with some drama as two competing queens open up about their recent breakup. Drag queens Amethyst and Robin Fierce are two Connecticut natives with a past relationship that didn’t quite work out in the end.
Amethyst Revealed What Caused the Breakup With Robin Fierce
Amethyst and Robin Fierce are coming clean about what happened with their past relationship with each other. During last Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the two talked with the other queens, stating that they were in a relationship before the season started.
The two-part season 15 debut of the show and Untucked were the first times that information about their prior relationship was revealed, though Amethyst and Robin Fierce were rather reserved about what actually transpired in both instances.
“I will admit it was my decision to not pursue things further,” Amethyst said. “Ultimately I think we were looking for different things.”
“I feel like it was mutual, we both had our thing,” Robin Fierce said. “That’s fine, as of right now, that chapter is closed.”
Amethyst admitted to have stopped texting back to Robin Fierce at one point in their relationship, which never got back to the way it was. As for Robin Fierce, she shared that she’s contented with their mutual decision to break things up, and that chapter of their lives will remain closed.
The Queens Discuss The Results of The Show
The queens also addressed the outcomes of the talent show in the exclusive footage. Afterward, host and head judge RuPaul, who assigns the next task to them paid them a visit. The task given was that they’ll have to work in groups of three to create an infomercial that promotes their view of the afterlife in a funny way.
This season will also commemorate the show’s 200th episode. Throughout its tenure, it has received four consecutive Emmys for outstanding reality-competition show, while RuPaul has received seven consecutive awards for outstanding host of a reality or competition program. RuPaul is now the most-awarded Black performer in Emmy history.
Season 15 will be giving away the biggest cash prize in the competition history, at $200,000 plus other giveaways. The 16 competing queens are giving their best to put on a show like never before, and RuPaul promises for the show to deliver like never before.
