There will be a couple of friendly reunions on I Can See Your Voice this week, as Robin Thicke and Raven-Symoné join the show as Guest Detectives, along with Musical Guest Rachel Platten. Thicke and Raven-Symoné are close with Ken Jeong and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, respectively.
Robin Thicke, Raven-Symoné Join ‘I Can See Your Voice’
Thicke has appeared as a Detective in the past, but this is Raven-Symoné’s first time on the show, which challenges contestants to identify good and bad singers. The actress shared that she’s confident in her ability to play the game, pointing out that people who are overacting probably can’t sing.
Raven-Symoné appeared on The Masked Singer as Black Widow in Season 2. That same season, I Can See Your Voice Detective Adrienne Bailon-Houghton competed as Flamingo. They were both members of the Cheetah Girls, so it will be fun to see them reunite.
Thicke, meanwhile, is reuniting with his fellow Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong for some extra fun. In the clip shared on social media, Jeong (who hosts the show) wanders past Thicke and tells him to button up his shirt. Later, he walks past again, saying he thinks Thicke is “using this to get back at me for all those things I’ve done.”
Thicke, Jeong Are Friends Off the Show
Thicke and Jeong can be seen bickering at the end of this week’s I Can See Your Voice preview. Even Raven-Symoné said it’s a bonus to see the pair be funny together on the show. The two of them are also friendly off screen.
During the recent filming of Season 7, Jeong reportedly walked off the set when it was revealed that one of the contestants was Rudy Giuliani, who was a member of former President Donald Trump’s legal team. Thicke apparently followed him off the stage.
A source told People that Jeong was “upset” over the reveal, and Thicke followed him “because he and Ken are very close friends and he wanted to check on him.”
You can catch Thicke and Raven-Symoné on I Can See Your Voice, this Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
