A famous photo that circulated almost two years ago caused a lot of speculation about the nature of Rita Ora’s relationship with husband Taika Waititi. The singer has now gone on the record to shut down the rumors about having a throuple with actress Tessa Thompson and Waititi.

The Voice AU coach is no stranger to being the subject of rumors from the public eye, especially when it comes to her marriage with Waititi. Back in May 2021, photos were taken of the couple during a night out with some friends. It can be seen however, that Thompson was thrown into the mix.
The photos were taken while they are in Australia filming the movie Thor: Love and Thunder. The couple can be seen in the pictures together with Thompson where they appeared to be intimate with each other. The issue came after fans thought that the now-married couple once had Thompson as their third partner in the relationship.
“I just chose to not acknowledge that because it’s ridiculous,” Ora said. “Literally, that photo was just a bunch of friends having a good time. They [Taika and Tessa] had a crazy schedule and everyone was letting loose. I love that. Each to their own.”
Ora explained that she and Waititi had a few drinks at the time. Which resulted in them becoming more friendly with other coworkers when the photo was snapped. She insisted that the idea was “absurd,” and that she chose to ignore it before so as to not give more attention to the story.

The Singer Claims Something Positive Came From The Photos
Because of the rumors, the possibility that Thompson was in a relationship with both Ora and Waititi spread quickly online. Though nothing good can come out of false rumors, the British singer claimed that the news had a positive impact on the LGBTQ community.
“The good news is that when I was on Twitter talking to my fans, my incredible LGBTQIA+ fanbases were actually. Whether this is true or not, I’m so inspired that this is being normalized publicly,” Ora said. “That made me really happy. You don’t know who it’s touching.”
Unfortunately for the fans, the rumors are turning out to be false, since there was nothing going on between Thompson and the couple. Both Ora and Waititi have addressed the rumors. They’re adamant that there’s no third person in their relationship.
