Fans are eager to see what former One Direction member Niall Horan will bring to this season of The Voice as a coach. However, before we tune in to see him on The Voice, let’s take a look back at his early days in the music industry and his journey on The X Factor.
Niall Horan on The X Factor UK
Horan first auditioned for The X Factor UK in 2010, where he sang Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” in front of the judges. While his performance impressed the judges, he was eliminated from the competition during the boot camp round. However, his dreams of a music career were far from over.
In 2010, Horan was invited back to The X Factor UK to compete as part of a newly formed boy band, One Direction. Alongside Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, the band quickly became a fan favorite on the show. Despite finishing in third place, the band signed a record deal and went on to become one of the most successful boy bands of all time.
Throughout their time on The X Factor UK, Horan and the rest of One Direction charmed audiences with their infectious pop sound and boyish good looks. Their performances, which included hits like “What Makes You Beautiful,” and “Story of My Life,” won over fans across the world and also helped launch their career as one of the biggest pop acts of the decade.
Niall Horan’s Solo Career
After the success of One Direction, Horan went on to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut album Flicker in 2017. The album showcased a more mature sound for the singer, with influences ranging from country to folk music. The album was a commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and solidifying Horan’s place as a solo artist.
Horan then announced his second album, “Heartbreak Weather,” in 2020. The 14-track album features hit singles “Nice to Meet Ya,” and “No Judgement,” showcasing his upbeat pop style. The album debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200.
Now, with Horan joining The Voice as a coach, fans are excited to see what he’ll bring to the table. His experience on The X Factor UK and his success as a solo artist make him a natural fit for the show, and fans are eager to see him help guide the next generation of talented performers.
