Reba McEntire Advocates for LGBTQ Rights, Says She’s ‘Disappointed’ of Tennessee’s Anti-Drag Laws

Country music legend, Reba McEntire, has made headlines for speaking out against Tennessee’s anti-drag laws. In a recent interview, McEntire expressed her disappointment in the state’s legislation, which prohibits individuals from wearing clothing that is not typically associated with their gender.

McEntire, who has been a long-time advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, recently voiced her support of drag performers. In addition, she voiced that she believes they deserve the right to express themselves freely.

“God bless ’em for wearing those heels,” she said, referring to the often-high-heeled shoes worn by drag queens.

McEntire’s comments were praised by fans and activists, who see her as a powerful ally in the fight for equality. The country singer is not alone, many others have also criticized the laws as discriminatory and harmful to the LGBTQ+ community.

Through it all, McEntire remains true to herself, using her platform to speak out on issues that matter to her.
