Ranking The Best ‘The Voice’ Season 21 Blind Auditions
Reading Time: 3 minutes
It’s been exactly a year since the The Voice season 21 singers took the stage for the first time in Hollywood. Let’s look back at the beginning of last season and remember some of our favorite blind auditions.
The Voice season 21 singers have recently taken to social media to reminisce on their blind audition experience. While we wait around for The Voice‘s 22nd season to premiere, here’s a look back at last season’s blind auditions.
7. Kinsey Rose
Blake Shelton was ready to turn his chair for Kinsey as soon as she began playing guitar. This artist stood out in the competition with a traditional country twang. I’m not a huge fan of country music, but Kinsey seriously knocked it out of the park with her audition. She went on to join Team Kelly and was eliminated in the Knockout Rounds.
6. Wendy Moten
There’s no best blind audition list without The Voice season 21 runner up Wendy Moten. This seasoned artist came to the stage singing “We Can Work it Out” by The Beatles and left as part of Team Blake. Wendy is truly one of the best vocalists to ever grace The Voice stage.
5. Ryleigh Plank
Ryleigh impressed the audience and coaches with her emotional, powerful rendition of Demi Lovato’s “Anyone.” The vocally challenging song landed Ryleigh a spot on Team Ariana. This singer continued in on the competition, but was eliminated in the Top 13.
4. Aaron Hines
Aaron’s silky smooth rendition of “Heartbreak Anniversary” was enough to earn him a four-chair turn. This blind audition proved that he is insanely skilled on a technical level. Aaron had a short stay on Team Kelly. He was eliminated after his battle round performance with Gymani.
3. Keilah Grace
This 15 year old turned heads (and chairs) with her broad vocal range and slight rasp. None of the judges could guess her age at the time of her audition, since her voice is so mature. Keilah joined Team Legend, but was eliminated after her battle round with Joshua Vacanti.
2. Peedy Chavis
Peedy made waves on The Voice with his outstanding Elvis Presley blind audition. Not only was his voice great, he put on quite the show. Peedy joined Team Blake, made it through the battle and knockout rounds and was eliminated in the beginning of the live playoffs alongside Bella DeNapoli, Vaughn Mugol, and Samuel Harness.
1. Girl Named Tom
It was clear right away that Girl Named Tom had something special. They caught the attention of the judges with this song and it truly never went away. You could hear a pin drop as soon as they finished their audition. Many say that they won the show right away with this performance.
