Britain’s Got Talent has shared an early release audition from Saturday night’s new episode of Series 19, featuring a performer named Lee Thompson, who showed off his pickpocketing skills. The judges were left stunned.

Pickpocket Wows the BGT Judges in Early Release

Before his audition, Lee Thompson admitted he didn’t know if he would be “the right act” for the show. He explained that he didn’t have anyone with him, as his whole family thought he had “gone to a wedding.”

For his performance, Lee asked hosts Ant & Dec to join him on stage. Lee briefly touched their clothes and asked them if they worked out, before revealing that he had taken things out of their pockets — including a phone, a hotel room key, and a pair of glasses.

After that, Lee revealed that he had secretly slipped watches into the pockets of the judges and some audience members before the show. Judge Amanda Holden called Lee a “modern-day Artful Dodger.” He replied, “Apart from I give everything back.”

Simon Cowell joked that he wanted to take Lee shopping. Lee earned four “yes” votes from the judges to move on in the competition.

Everyone Forgets Simon Cowell’s Birthday

Ahead of this week’s new episode of BGT, the show also shared a funny clip of the judges and hosts celebrating Alesha Dixon’s birthday. The only problem is that fellow judge Simon Cowell happens to have the same birthday as Dixon, which his co-stars forgot.

“That really tells me how much you care about me,” Cowell said, as they presented him with his tiny cupcake and much-smaller birthday card. He blew out the candle and made a wish, then joked, “Oh, you’re still here.”

A new episode of BGT Series 19 will air on Saturday night at 7 p.m. on ITV1, ITVX, and STV.
