Shadow Ace Makes Judges Laugh in AGT Early Release
Shadow Ace introduced himself to the judges by sharing that he’s from the Philippines. He explained that he wants to “revive a lost art,” adding that he became interested in shadow art when he grew up without electricity in the house.
He went on to share his love for Beyoncé, pointing out that last season’s winners the Mayyas got to perform at her show in Dubai. Shadow Ace said it was his dream to meet Beyoncé.
He then started his performance, in which he showed off a few funny vignettes with the shadows created by his hands. The first, set to “Pony” by Ginuwine, depicted a stripper on a pole. Another showed a figure riding on a wrecking ball, set to the Miley Cyrus hit.
The last scene was set to “Gangnam Style” by PSY, featuring horse shapes. Shadow Ace had the audience and judges dancing along and laughing. At the end of the performance, the entire panel gave him a standing ovation.
