Orlando Bloom Gets Real About Relationship Struggles with Katy Perry
Appearing on the cover of the latest issue of Flaunt Magazine, Bloom took the time to talk about the current status of his romance with the “Firework” hitmaker. The actor admitted that they naturally possess differences. Nonetheless, these contrasts are not enough to distract the dynamics of their happy relationship.
“We’re in two very different pools,” Bloom said. “Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands. Sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won’t lie.”
Calling Perry his “baby mama and life partner,” he explained that they sometimes clash when it comes to their creative processes. Be that as it may, Bloom and Perry know how lucky they are to have genuine connection as companions.
“We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment,” he said.
For those who may not know, Bloom and Perry initially met during a Golden Globes after party in 2016. The actor proposed to the singer on Valentine’s Day 2019, making the night special by pulling up a helicopter scene. They later welcomed their first born, daughter Daisy Dove, in 2020.
She Says The Actor Gets Her Out of Her Head
Back in 2022, Perry praised Bloom for how great of a dad he is with his first child, Flynn. Such has apparently influenced Perry to jumpstart motherhood.
“He’s just really got this happy, posi vibes and I’m a little bit more heady and prone to depression in some ways — and so it’s good for me to be around him because he gets me out of my head a little bit,” she said.
Later, the “Dark Horse” singer revealed that she’s been a hands-on mother since she gave birth to Daisy Dove. Interestingly, it was her choice not to employ a full-time nanny to take care of her daughter. She doesn’t mind juggling her maternal responsibilities along with her bombarded schedule.
