One Direction’s Niall Horan Says He Would Do ‘The X Factor’ Again

Niall Horan became a star as part of the boy band One Direction on The X Factor UK back in 2010. When asked about the experience by his fellow The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson, Horan said he would do it again.
Niall Horan Says He Would Do The X Factor Again
During Horan’s appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the host mentioned that she thought it was cool that he got his big break as part of a group. She added that when she won the first season of American Idol, she “was very lonely off the top.”
“Especially on the show, we were so lucky,” Horan said of his experience on The X Factor. “‘Cause you would see all the other artists melting all the time over everything. We were just 16, 17, 18, 19, whatever we were. It was so fun. I’d do it again.”
He joked that this was why he decided to join The Voice for Season 23. Clarkson agreed that it’s a “full circle moment” to mentor new talent. However, she added that she doesn’t like Niall using the same pitch as her when talking to contestants, as they both tend to point out that they’ve been on talent shows.

Horan Is Returning to The Voice Next Season
Season 23 of The Voice just wrapped up earlier this week, as Horan’s artist Gina Miles was named the winner. That means Horan won the show during his very first season as a coach. He’ll be able to brag about it when he returns for Season 24.
Horan will be back on the coaching panel, alongside returning coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani, as well as new coach Reba McEntire. That means that Clarkson will be taking another season off. Season 24 will also mark the first season of the show without Blake Shelton.
The new season of The Voice is expected to premiere this fall on NBC. Can Horan win two seasons in a row? We’ll have to wait and see.
