Former One Direction stars Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson will reportedly reunite for a new three-part Netflix docuseries. The upcoming project will document the pair’s road trip across the United States.
One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik to Reunite
Variety reports that the Malik and Tomlinson’s new series will feature “reconnection, exploration and a lot of laughter,” as the two former band mates share heartfelt conversations about topics such as love and fatherhood.
It’s likely the pair will also discuss the tragic death of former One Direction star Liam Payne, who passed away in Argentina last October at age 31. The series will reportedly be directed by Nicola Marsh and produced by Campfire Studios. A premiere date has not been announced.
Since their time in One Direction, both Tomlinson and Malik have pursued solo careers. Last year, Malik released his fourth studio album, Room Under the Stairs, and embarked on a tour. He recently announced that he’ll be performing a Las Vegas residency beginning in January.
As for Tomlinson, he recently released a new single called “Lemonade” and announced that his third solo album, titled How Did I Get Here?, will be released on January 23, 2026. The album will be supported by a tour, kicking off in March.

What Are the Other 1D Members Doing Now?
Former One Direction stars Harry Styles and Niall Horan have also been pursuing solo projects since the group’s last album in 2015. Styles has released three albums, most recently Harry’s House in 2022. That project won Album of the Year at the Grammys.
As for Horan, he’s released three of his own solo albums over the years, most recently The Show in 2023. Horan is also currently in his third season as a coach on The Voice, having won the show two times in the past.
