Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra announced some exciting news on social media this week. It involves the upcoming 2021 Oscar nominations announcement.
The couple posted a cute video of the two of them in their home sharing the news that they’ll be announcing the Academy Award nominations live next week. Check out the clip below.
Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra To Announce Oscar Nominations
“Tell me we’re announcing the Oscar nominations without telling me we’re hosting the Oscar nominations,” Priyanka says to the camera in the couple’s Twitter video.
She then shows Nick in the background pouring himself a drink. The Voice coach dryly informs her, “You sort of just told everyone that we’re announcing the Oscar nominations.”

“Oh,” Priyanka says. “Well, that’s good enough. We’re hosting the Oscar nominations! Catch us live!” Nick holds his glass up for the camera in the funny clip.
Nick shared in his tweet that you can watch them announce the nominations on Monday, March 15, at 5:19 am PDT. Go to the Academy’s Twitter account to check it out.
Nick Is Also Celebrating His Album Release
Priyanka posted the same video on her own social media accounts, writing, “Hey @TheAcademy, any chance I can announce the Oscar nominations solo?” She added, “Just kidding, love you @nickjonas!”
The Oscars are special to Nick and Priyanka, as it’s where they first met in person at an afterparty in 2017. Priyanka told People she was “shocked by his audaciousness,” which she called “the most attractive thing” about him.

The Oscars are usually held earlier in the year, but the event was delayed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 93rd Academy Awards will air Sunday, April 25.
Nick has something else to celebrate this week. He just released his new album Spaceman, as well as a music video for the title track. “Writing this album was a way to process everything that was happening in the world, the distance between us, and what matters most,” he wrote on Twitter.
