Nick Cannon is reportedly expecting his eight and ninth children this year. The Masked Singer host has drawn criticism for fathering so many babies with different women in the past few years, but that didn’t stop him from joking about it in a new ad with actor Ryan Reynolds.
Nick Cannon Makes Vasectomy Cocktail with Ryan Reynolds
In an ad for Aviation American Gin, Cannon gears up for Father’s Day by sharing a tutorial for how to make a cocktail called “The Vasectomy.” He follows up the introduction by saying, “Lord knows I need one.”
As he prepares the cocktail, he makes jokes about fatherhood. Cannon says the tonic is “so bubbly, just like I feel every day I wake up after a long, full night’s sleep.” He calls Aviation “the world’s highest-rated gin for the world’s highest-rated job.”
Reynolds then steps out and grabs the cocktail from him, saying, “I have three kids.” When he hears that Cannon has eight, he spits out the drink. The men proceed to hug it out, as Reynolds tells Cannon, “No wonder you have eight kids. You smell amazing.”

Not Everyone Finds the Video Funny
Currently, Cannon is reportedly expecting two children with two different women. In January, he confirmed that he’s expecting his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi. Meanwhile, DJ Abby De La Rosa is pregnant again after welcoming twins Zion and Zillion with Cannon last year. TMZ reports that Cannon is the father.
Cannon clearly likes to joke about his many children, and a lot of people get a kick out of it. The new video with Reynolds currently has over 30,000 likes on Twitter, but not everyone is laughing. One user called it “distasteful.”
Comments on Buzzfeed‘s article about the ad are also overwhelmingly negative. One commenter wrote, “There’s nothing funny about the staggering levels of irresponsibility this man shows.” Another called it “f*cking gross.”
In case you were wondering, Cannon said earlier this year that he had considered a vasectomy and even had a consultation. Only time will tell if he actually goes through with it.
