The Masked Singer Returns for Season 13 Quarterfinals
Last week, the Lucky Six (comprised of the final two contestants from each group this season) performed for their chance to go to the Quarterfinals. On Wednesday night, the five who made it through returned to the stage for another performance, with the theme “Soundtrack of My Life.”
That includes Coral, who delivered a rockin’ performance of “Sk8er Boi” by Avril Lavigne, prompting the panel to guess that they might be everyone from Hilary Duff to Nina Dobrev. Meanwhile, Boogie Woogie took the stage to sing “Golden Hour” by Jvke, in honor of their wife. The panel guessed they might be Charlie Puth or Brandon Flowers.
Pearl also performed on Wednesday night, singing “Your Love” by The Outfield. The panel guessed everyone from Brandi Carlile to Bonnie Tyler. And last but not least, Mad Scientist Monster appropriately took on “The Scientist” by Coldplay, pointing out that it’s different from their usual “party anthems.” The panel guessed Kane Brown and Jelly Roll.
Coral, Boogie Woogie, Pearl, and Mad Scientist Monster all made it through to next week’s Semifinals, which will feature head-to-head battles between the four remaining contestants. Who are you rooting for?

Nessy Unmasked as Edwin McCain
Unfortunately, one contestant had to be eliminated during Wednesday’s show. That contestant turned out to be Nessy, who performed “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga during the episode, in honor of his daughter.
Before he was unmasked, the panel made their final guesses about his identity. Those guesses included Dave Matthews, Johnny Rzeznik from Goo Goo Dolls, and John Popper from Blues Traveler. However, only Robin Thicke was correct in guessing that it was singer Edwin McCain, known for his hit love song “I’ll Be.”
McCain admitted to Variety that he tried to make his performances “different every time,” so he was impressed that Thicke was able to figure out it was him under the mask. After his unmasking, he also shared that he told his daughter he was on the show, but his sons would be surprised to find out.
